My Sapling, My Sibling

“My Sapling, My Sibling” campaign was started by myself, Vasu Bansal and
my sister, Nupur Bansal in 2019 with the hope of creating clean air and a better environment to live in for their generation.
We have motivated all our friends to take care of plants and trees as their Siblings, as a part of their family and to request adults to adopt them like their kids. We want to breathe in clean air as we grow up.
Many plantation drives are happening all over the country and this will involve the next generation with a commitment to take care of their plants as their brothers and sisters, hence the theme “My Sapling, My Sibling”.
We encourage giving plants as Diwali gifts, birthday return gifts, and friendship day gifts and then pledging to take care of them. We have started the programme as a door-to-door campaign and we are supplying plants to a few hospitals from our savings who gift it to families as a sibling of a newborn baby.In Ludhiana Obstetrics and gynaecologist society, the Pediatrician society and the Indian Medical Association also contribute by giving plants as a memento at academic meets.
